The previous light fixtures provided adequate light…when they were operational. The metal halide lamps themselves were frequently burning out and difficult for the maintenance staff to keep up with. In addition, the old fixtures were large and protruded significantly from the deck ceiling leaving them vulnerable to collision with tall car antennas and vandals. In addition, compliance with the utility’s rebate program was ultra-critical of since the utility was running a double-bonus campaign. Enlighten was able to supply a fixture that significantly decreased maintenance time, reduced energy use by over 50%, raised the fixture closer to the ceiling and further from the ground, and achieved over $20,000 in rebates under the double-bonus program.
